Story Mode

  • WASD: Move around.
  • Mouse: Look around.
  • Left click/Space/E: Interact & Skip Dialogues.

Minigame

  • Left click/Space: Applies a down force to the ball while pressed.

Tips if you get stuck during the minigame:

I you get stuck in the middle of a wave, just do short presses in order to get the ball oscillating, once you got some momentum, just press while you are going down a slope. Once you are about to go up, release it so you don't stop the ball from going up.

This game was made for the Acerola Jam 0  (Aberration).  The game tries to differ from the standard horror genre, in fact the element of fear lies mostly in the moment of realization, when the player is shocked by the unknown truth. The experience offers a reading of the theme Aberration as something strange and unexpected, that sets an uncomfortable atmosphere.

nice atmosphere, especially the background sounds. The minigame with the ball in mid session wasn't too clear but after quite a few steps, understood the goal, it was pleasant to reach the "blue spark". After all not bad, im waiting the next project sus.

Your atmosphere is wonderful! Great choice of sfx. In my headphone the heartbeat/pulse is a bit overpowering. Had to turn them down. But that's a small thing.

The lighting is marvelous. The story is captivating.

The wave challenge is is a bit of a break in vibe, but it's a great challenge and the physics are really impressive. It took me a while to get through it, but it was an enjoyable effort.

I really liked the presentation. It was very unique.
The part with the ball on the sine wave was kind of hard to control and it wasn't clear what I was supposed to do, where to go and in which of the directions so I gave up there. Thematically it reminds me of Celeste's deep breath part with the feather.

All  in all, pretty nice. Good job!

Hi, now that you make think about it, it is really similar to that part from Celeste, and I take it as a huge compliment. On the ball part, when you press space, a down force is applied to the ball, and you have to "surf" the slopes in order to reach the blue energy ball that went high up at the beginning of the section. On the game's description there are some other tips if you want to try it again. Unfortunately I had no time left to polish that part as I wanted, as I had to upload the game in time for the jam. I hope you can get past that part, it gets really intense at the end!
